Custom Domains for BloggerFirst You need to get your domain registeredThere are two different methods we can use to set up a custom domain with Blogger:
- Purchase a domain through Blogger for $10 – With this your domain is automatically configured
- Use advanced settings to purchase and set up our own custom – With this you will need to register your domain from trusted domain register, You can register a cheap domain HERE. Its more cheaper than purchasing directly through Blogger.
Once you have registered your domianIn your Control Panel, click on your domain, then Navigate to your DNS (Domain Name System) settings.On the first tab which is the A record, Enter your domain name in the format example.com, and list the I.P. addresses shown below in the “A” section. You’ll need to create four separate A-records which point to four different Google IPs.

After that navigate to the CNAME record tab, In this tab you will need to set two CNAME records. For the first CNAME, where it says Name, Label or Host enter “www” or “blog” (if its a sub-domain lik blog.mysite.com) and where it says Destination, Target or Points To enter “ghs.google.com”. How To Add Domain Into Blogger=>
Login to your Blogger dashboard (New Blogger interface)=> Navigate to your blog=> Check for Settings at the side bar then click on it=> Now click on the Basic tab on the settings page=> Login look out for “Publishing” as seen in the picture below:==>Now click on “Add a custom domain” link and then you will see something like the picture below:=> Click on the “Switch to advanced settings” link then you will get another interface like this:=>
Now input the URL for the custom domain you registered previously in the text box with http:// provided, and click Save.That’s all Troubleshooting
I get an error/see a holding page when visiting my domain URL, It can take up to three days for changes to the DNS settings to properly redirect to your Blogger hosted site. Switch back to using your *blogspot.com subdomain in the Settings>Publishing tab and try again a little later.You can as well ping your site, By Pinging your domain name, you’ll be able to tell if the DNS settings have taken effect.
